Paratransit

ADA paratransit services are the core of A-Para Transit’s operations. We provide crucial transportation service for elderly and individuals who, due to their disability, are unable to utilize traditional fixed route transportation. We view this service as providing riders with essential access and independence.

A-Para Transit provides various types of paratransit service, such as door to door, curb to curb, dial a ride or non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT).

People depend on public transportation for many reasons including commuting to work, medical appointments, and other discretionary travel. A-Para Transit provides solutions for all public transit environments.

Student Transportation

For public and private schools as well as other programs that serve students with special needs, A-Para Transit provides services for special needs student transportation, including those covered by the McKinney-Vento Act.

We recognize the challenges families face and are proud of our role in transporting special needs students for five unique school districts.

A-Para Transit’s goal is safe, reliable and cost effective service. To achieve that goal, we follow the following principles:

• Provide extensive specialized driver training

Eligibility

The A-Para Transit team has extensive ADA paratransit eligibility assessment experience using different methodologies to determine eligibility. Whether it’s through functional assessments, in-person interviews or a review of pertinent records, A-Para Transit will provide your organization with a professional, ADA-compliant process, and applicants with a respectful experience.
